ABOUT ME
Emily Morris
Nearly a decade ago, Morris began her media career with her hometown newspapers, the Sandusky Tribune-Recorder and the Sanilac County News — she fell in love immediately with information fields and the connection with an audience.

Upon stepping foot on Oakland University’s (OU) campus, she dove into a staff reporter role and began producing weekly articles for The Oakland Post. She advanced her way to the Oakland Post's managing editor. At OU, she has also worked as WXOU’s news director and PSA director. In the meantime, she has interned with Fox 2 News and Hour Detroit Magazine, in addition to freelance work with the Sanilac County News, the Jeffersonian and LOOP Magazine.
She holds Bachelor’s degrees in Communication and Journalism from OU, and is currently studying in Wayne State University’s (WSU) Master of Library and Information Science program. Currently working as OU’s marketing manager, she's had the pleasure sharing archival collections from my alma mater to new communities through marketing avenues. While weaving archival assets into my full-time position, she also balance part-time catalog and photography work for Comedias Sueltas USA, an emerging database paying tribute and encouraging further investigation of early Spanish plays.
